Community
The project management world is vast, with countless resources available for building your skills, connecting with peers, keeping up with the latest news, and attaining professional credentials. While this site is focused on user reviews of online (browser-based) project management tools, we assume you’re here because you’re involved in the wider profession or at least have some passing interest in project management overall. As it’s impossible to view the tools outside of the broader context of the skills, discipline, and practices, we pulled together a short list of useful links out to the broade online community.
We’ll keep adding to this list of resources as we come across new ones that strike our interest and are valuable – if you know of something we should add, let us know and we’ll take a look.
Resource Sites
If you’re looking for links and guides to desktop-based (Mac/PC) project management tools, an excellent place to start is The Project Management Software Meta-Directory.
Blogs
Find both other aggregated listings of top PM blogs, along with our own reading list. Also included is a handy OPML file (a single file with lots of blogs you can download and import into your RSS feed reader of choice).
Podcasts
Some no longer updated, some hot off the presses, all still loaded with useful information that you can tap into if you prefer learning by audio (or just have time to kill during your commute, or hopefully, workout).
Twitter
140 characters of wisdom from a whole bunch of folks tweeting their way through the project management community. Don’t forgot to follow OnlinePMTools for our latest posts, notes about reviews, and what we had for dinner (kidding…maybe).
Social Networks
Be it LinkedIn, Facebook, Ning, forums or elsewhere there are lots of groups online you can tap into to connect with others, find a job, or just generally lurk to see what’s going on. We’ll list a few, and try to keep it fresh.
Thanks for coming back to the OnlinePMTools.com community. Don't forget to subscribe to updates (RSS or email) or follow us on Twitter!
